The young woman who fled the Manson Family was Linda Kasabian. She didn’t leave until after the murders because her little daughter was back at the ranch, and wouldn’t risk that little girl’s life. Kasabian found ways to keep from murdering others until she got back to grab her daughter. She was the prosecution’s star witness during the trials.

That scene looked to me like Brad Pitt's character daydreaming, but I could be wrong.

When I was a boy, only 14 years old me and my friends went to the movie theater watching a Bruce Lee movie.
At that time I was already practising judo for about maybe 2 years,so I was ready for some serious kung fu.
When the famous scene came "Dragon Whips Tail" the whole theater(about 400 people) were standing and applauding ....
          I was sold.
Next day I signed in for a Taekwondo school.
Bruce Lee is a legend and nothing will change that.

Based on factual evidence and actual statements from Lee and those that knew him, no that character in the film is not based on real life. The name of the film has "once upon a time" in the title. Duh.

Look, JOE ROGAN,........... if you read this............, let's be real and honest here okay?
Steven Tyler said it best to your face on your Podcast, that you have paved the way and by doing so that you have taken this up a few notches, You are setting the bar so to speak and with that you are being honest with the people, the subject matter discussed and of course, yourself! (all while being stoned to the max)
So, lets get true life facts up here first. (too many people comment and have no phucking clue what the truth or facts are and is)
Bruce Lee, yes was a child actor! AND......... Bruce Lee was also a real life Street fighter (not just an actor or Cha Cha Dancer, winning a competition)
Bruce Lee was a Gang member in Hong Kong. Was in many local gang related street fights (some of the old books had shown Bruce and his arrest record for fighting) Bruce was in one fight that almost killed his opponent. The police met with his father and told him that if it continued that Bruce WOULD be going to prison. Bruce was sent by his father to the United States where Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940, at the Chinese Hospital, in San Francisco's Chinatown....
There is a book called, Zen in the Martial Arts by Joe Hyams. "A man who has attained mastery of an art reveals it in his every action."--Samurai Maximum. Under the guidance of such celebrated masters as Ed Parker and the immortal Bruce Lee, Joe Hyams vividly recounts his more than 25 years of experience in the martial arts.................Get it,,, and Read It,'s a short read!
In Short, Bruce Lee was/is/and always will be The Real Deal.... It's just sad that so many people want to give asinine opinions on matters that they have no clue about or never bother to research.
Quint-a-cum Tarantino is someone who is so far out there that it doesn't matter what real facts are for him.
Look at his list of movies, from this it is obvious to see that he has a very dramatic and often a mentally-ill tainted flair for going way off the deep end. Just watch Kill Bill... She is wearing a Bruce Lee jumpsuit from the movie (Game of Death) and just look at his last name for instance, (Ta-RANT-ino)...Rant, rage, reviled horror against the human race...........
If Tarantino had not become affiliated and involved with Hollyweird, then many have stated that he would most likely be a perverse, sick and twisted homicidal maniac, which he actually is, he just escapes with it by making movies............and as far as the fight scene that Tarantino says Bruce Lee would lose to a marine trained in hand to hand combat...
Again, Bruce Lee was trained IN hand to hand combat. He also took that training and added Jiu Jitsu, Arm Barring, Blocking, Weapons and how not only to beat your opponent, but how to kill him. His techniques were far superior in the fact that he trained most all his life unlike having a 90 day course given by the military.....
And of all people to fight Lee, you use Brad (the Pussy) Pitt? Seriously? that makes this all even more laughable, but.............Thats Tarantino, a sick, twisted degenerate. and those are his good points!

Bruce Lee would have kicked his ass!
Joe should know size means nothing in martial arts. I am shocked he would make such a statement?

Gene Lebell and Bruce Lee sparred once it was when Bruce Lee was doing research for Jeet Kune Do. It wasn’t a real fight Lebell had him a leg lock and the only Bruce Lee was able to get out of it was to bite Lebell.

I like di caprio and pitt but if this movie disrepected bruce lee I will have to disrespect this movie. Bruce Lee have the respect of kareem abdul jabar in his prime in showtime lakers days and abdul jabar is kind of an asshole so gaining his respect means he really did deserve respect. Tarantino is just a odd movie maker I like someof his movies but he is not a philosopher, an innovator, a master of his craft like bruce lee.

If he doesn't... he loses nearly every time.
Also, the Lee character in the film has feet of clay, and fights poorly.

Tarantino make a fool of him self with his own " white minded" opinion of Bruce Lee, obviously he didn't his homework and has not clue who Bruce Lee was....
This are some well known facts about Bruce Lee. Before coming to America, during his teens years Bruce Lee was getting into street fights, and he's been practicing wing Chun with ip man since he was 14 years old...
By the summer of 1969 Bruce Lee would be 28 years old, he's on top psychical and mental condition due to he's been working out and specific regimen to make him be more explosive, stronger and faster, also he's been reading and writing since his arrival to usa since he was 18 years old, also by this years Bruce Lee is known and respected by many accomplished known celebrities and martial arts champions, like : Steve McQueen, James coburn, Karen Abdul, joe Lewis, chuck Norris, bill walance, Ed Parker, Gene LaBelle, and all them thinking and talked great things about Bruce Lee... Also by this year is beginning to developing his own fighting method JET KUNE DO, which is base on real and practical fighting, Bruce was way ahead of time for many martial artists at the era...but also by this years he was struggling with racial discrimination by Hollywood.
fictional facts about " Cliff Booth" .
According to Tarantino , Booth was a " real warrior" because he was war veteran with " real combat experience" but from which war ? Let's say that Booth was a veteran from Korea war ( 1950 1953) and the Vietnam war ( 1955 1971)
By 1969 Booth would be on his early or middle 40s, which is no a good age to fighting vs a 28 years old highly trained athletic man...
And what was Booth martial arts knowledge? Probably the basic hand to hand combat from the army at that time, which was really unrealistic...
Now let's break down a real fight between a very young and athletic Bruce Lee and and 40 something years old white male with some " experience on combat" ...
The fight wouldn't be last no more than a minute, because Bruce Lee would started feinted to the upper body of Booth, and kicking him below the waist, probably the knees, and ended up with a powerful right Puch to Booth jaw o ribbs, or ended him up with a neck choke.. and the winner would be Bruce Lee without any doubt.
Now here is another real fact about Bruce Lee is been influencing millions of people around the world for almost five decades, and 100 years will pass and he probably still will be influencing future generations...
Now who the hell will remember Quentin Tarantino after he's going? Nobody!

Rogan's account is spotty and his conclusions half-baked (fittingly). Sure, grappling was Lee's weak spot at the time, but Rogan is putting it all on that and weight without regard to Lee's ridiculous lightning bruiser strikes (which is why people quote Gene saying he wouldn't put Lee down "or he'll kill me"). More importantly, what has Gene said about Bruce? "During that time, I was able to get to know Bruce a little bit, and we even worked out together. He was the best martial artist of his time." -
